I was tired of being tired. I hated looking in the mirror. I have two teenage sons, and I want them to look up to me and be proud of me. I hated the way clothes fit.
I was embarrassed to hire a trainer, and I was ashamed of the way I felt and looked when I exercised. Honestly, I hesitated in hiring RTC, but I jumped in and finally committed.
Since starting with RTC, I have much more confidence. I am proud of myself and the way I feel. I will challenge my kids now. I have more energy, better quality of sleep, and my blood pressure is no longer high.
My results:
After 9 months, I have lost 14 lbs., 26 inches, and 6% body fat. But I have gained so much more: knowledge, confidence, support, friends, and ability. The ability to do things I never thought I could.
Obstacles I’ve overcome:
Being afraid to use weights. I am still not great at them, but now I have the guts to try them. I am no longer ashamed to exercise in front of people now. I can conquer.
What I have achieved:
I love the way I feel. When I first started, I really didn’t think I would stick with it as long as I have, but now when I can’t go, I feel guilty. I always feel better when I train, even though I’m not always enthusiastic about working out. I love feeling good.
But, I’m not done.
I would like to lose more weight and lose more inches. I still need to work on my confidence, but it is a work in progress.
My lifestyle has changed since starting with RTC—which has made a world of difference for keeping the results I have had— it didn’t have to change dramatically. For instance, exercising on a consistent basis, drinking more water, and being aware of food labels has made a significant difference.
What has kept me motivated?
Luke has kept me motivated. Plus, the changes that I have noticed have really lit a fire that keeps me going.
Anyone looking to change their lives and bodies for the better should consider RTC. Go for it. Stop making excuses. I am a working mother of two boys and a wife. I lead an extremely busy life, and I always said, “I don’t have time,” or “I don’t have the money.” Then, I thought about it, and all the money that I have spent on fad diets and pills, I could have paid for several years of training and a gym membership.
I still have a very long way to go, and I slip up sometimes— probably more than I should— but I get up and keep going. The support that I have received from RTC has been great, and I would not have gotten this far if it were not for Luke.
