Is Online Training for me?

11 Jan

Online training is not for everyone.

Is it for you?

Here are some questions that may help you decide.

1. Are you at least moderately tech savvy?

Since online training is “ONLINE”, it is necessary for you to be familiar with email, apps, and navigating online. The RTC app is very simple, but you still need to be acquainted with tech to reap the full benefit. Access to the internet is vital for online training to work.

2. Are you at least somewhat self-motivated?

More on this is another email. To expect success using an online training app, you need to have a certain level of self-motivation. The good thing is, RTC to Go includes accountability tools designed to help you stay on track.

3. Can you be honest in your daily accountability check-ins?

Remember, this journey is for you. Trying to play the app in order to please your coach doesn’t do anyone any good.

4. Do you have some exercise experience?

Yes, the app and web portal does come with video demos of the exercises, which are helpful, but having some experience on your own would be best. If you were previously taught some exercise techniques by a good trainer or coach, then you should be well positioned to achieve success. However, if you don’t have previous experience, online training can still benefit you because:

The RTC app has a video recording option allowing for technique feedback as well as demo videos to help give you confidence that you have the correct form.

You will have a video chat every few weeks with your coach, giving an opportunity to review your technique at that time.

NOT all the benefit comes with exercise experience. RTC to Go incorporates nutrition coaching which is critical to your achieving positive results. Everyone can learn the proper aspects of eating!
